Complete veterinary diet for cats with liver diseases. The increased energy content meets the cat’s energy needs, allowing for controlled portion sizes and reducing the burden on the gastrointestinal tract. Cats with liver disease often have poor appetite and weight loss. The high palatability of the food encourages intake and aids in recovery. The low copper content limits its accumulation in liver cells and intracellular damage in cases of cholestasis. The synergistic antioxidant complex reduces oxidative stress and fights free radicals. Indications: Cholangitis (cholangiohepatitis), cholestasis, porto-caval anastomosis, hepatic encephalopathy, liver failure, copper metabolism disorders. Contraindications: Pregnancy, lactation, growth, hyperlipidemia, feline hepatic lipidosis (except in cases presenting with hepatic encephalopathy). The duration of diet therapy depends on the type of pathology. The initial course of diet therapy lasts 6 months; however, in the case of chronic diseases, the diet should be used throughout the cat's life. The animal should not overeat, and dividing the food into several portions helps reduce the load on the liver.
